About Illegal Motion Sports

Illegal Motion Sports is a sports news, fantasy and picks site based in Southern California.

We're mostly a news site. Think the energy of Bleacher Report and Barstool, with a real commitment to getting the facts right. We cover the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL and college sports, with extra love for the Los Angeles and SoCal teams we grew up yelling at.

What we publish

• News and analysis. Original stories on the biggest games, trades, injuries and storylines of the day, written in a fan's voice. Opinion is always labeled as opinion.
• Fantasy. Free weekly rankings, start/sit advice and sleepers powered by our own transparent model. Read how our rankings work.
• Picks. Free fantasy-focused advice for entertainment. No guarantees, ever.
• Scores and headlines. Live scores and a headline wire from public feeds, always credited and linked to the original source.
• The Huddle. Our community board, where fans can talk ball (with house rules).

Who writes it

Stories are published under the Illegal Motion Sports Staff byline. Every story follows our Editorial Standards: facts are checked against credible sources, original reporters are credited by name, and sources are listed at the bottom of every article.

How we make money

We plan to support the site with advertising (such as Google AdSense) and, in the future, affiliate partnerships with fantasy sports companies. Our Affiliate Disclosure explains how that works. Advertisers and partners never decide what we write.
